Hosting 2022-2023
Aquest curs 22-23, gràcies a l’Acreditació Erasmus, no només hem pogut visitar els centres i ciutats dels nostres socis sinó que també hem rebut la seva visita al nostre institut. En total, hem acollit més de 100 alumnes de Dinamarca, Suècia i Alemanya, en estades d’un dia o d’una setmana.
Al mes de setembre, coincidint amb les festes de Santa Tecla, vam rebre el primer grup d’Auraskolen, Esbjerg, Dinamarca. Durant els mesos d’octubre i novembre va ser el torn del primer grup de la Gemeinschaftsschule a Dudweiler, de la ciutat alemanya de Saarbrücken, i dels estudiants de Vassaskolan a Gävle, Suècia. Tots aquests estudiants van conviure amb les famílies dels alumnes del nostre institut. Al juny, va ser el torn del segon grup de la Gemeinschaftsschule a Dudweiler, per tornar la visita que els nostres alumnes els havien fet al març.
A més, durant els dos primers trimestres del curs, hem rebut un centenar d’estudiants de diferents centres danesos de la zona d’Esbjerg. Un primer contacte que els ha permès conèixer els nostre projecte i la nostra manera de treballar.
Les setmanes que hem acollit els socis al nostre institut han estat plenes de treball i diversió. Mentre els alumnes estrangers assistien a algunes classes amb els seus hosts, els professors visitants aprofitaven per conèixer el funcionament del centre. També, s’ha fet intercanvi dels propis projectes Erasmus, i s’han fet activitats per posar-los en comú. Aquest intercanvi s’ha materialitzat en cançons, manualitats o presentacions, entre d’altres. En el temps de lleure, danesos, alemanys i suecs han conegut la ciutat de Tarragona i el seu passat amb un tour per la Tarraco romana de la mà dels guies d’Itinere (gràcies a l’ajuda que ens ofereix l’oficina d’Europe Direct a Tarragona); han conegut les platges per fer-hi caminades a l’hivern o esports aquàtics quan el temps ho ha permès; i han conegut alguns aspectes de la nostra cultura com els castells.
Als nostres estudiants, obrir les portes de casa seva i de la seva ciutat als companys d’altres països els ha permès seguir amb l’intercanvi cultural que havien iniciat quan van visitar el seu país, aprofundir en la cultura i costums dels altres tot compartint la pròpia i, en molts casos, enfortint els llaços d’amistat que, esperem, durin molts anys.

Hosting 2022-2023
This academic year 22-23, thanks to the Erasmus Accreditation, we were not only able to visit the schools and cities of our partners but we also received their visit to our grounds. In total, we have hosted more than 100 students from Denmark, Sweden and Germany, on one-day or one-week stays.
In September, coinciding with the Saint Tecla festivities, we received the first group from Auraskolen, Esbjerg, Denmark. During the months of October and November it was the turn of the first group from the Gemeinschaftsschule in Dudweiler, in the German city of Saarbrücken, and the students from Vassaskolan in Gävle, Sweden. All these students lived with the families of students from our high school. In June, it was the turn of the second group from the Gemeinschaftsschule in Dudweiler, to return the visit that our students had paid them in March.
In addition, during the first two terms of the course, we received a hundred students from different Danish centers in the Esbjerg area. A first contact that allowed them to learn about our projects and our way of working.
The weeks while we hosted the partners in our school have been full of work and fun. Whilst the foreign students attended some classes with their hosts, the visiting teachers took the opportunity to get to know the center’s organization and resources. Erasmus projects were also exchanged, and activities were carried out to bring them together. This exchange has materialized in songs, handicrafts or presentations, among others. During their free time, Danish, German and Swedish students got to know the city of Tarragona and its past with a tour of the Roman Tarraco by the Itinere guides (thanks to the help offered by Europe Direct in Tarragona); they have known the beaches for walks in the winter or water sports when the weather has allowed so; and they have known some traditions of our culture such as human towers.
For our students, opening the doors of their home and their city to fellow-students from other countries has allowed them to continue with the cultural exchange that they had started when they visited their country, to deepen the culture and customs of others while sharing their own and, in many cases, strengthening the bonds of friendship that, we hope, will last for many years.
